Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for the night shift at the Lodi, CA Distribution Center. The role is full-time, on-site, with a 11:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule and overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of industrial maintenance, strong safety and PPE practices, and the ability to read schematics, operate forklifts, and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC, vacuum, and motion control systems.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work night shift (11pm–7:30am) and weekends as needed.
• Significant (5+ years) industrial maintenance experience.
• Committed to safety and use of PPE.
• Must possess and use personal hand tools.
• Basic fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding and plumbing knowledge.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control, HVAC; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate with other Mechanics to align maintenance with production goals.
• Perform and oversee routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to restore function quickly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and applicable standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance procedures and equipment efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic (Night Shift) to join our team at the Distribution Center in Lodi, CA.

Pay Rate: $36.54 per hour. This is a full-time, night shift (11pm to 7:30am), on-site role (40 hours per week), with occasional weekend and overtime hours required as needed. This position is part of a seniority-based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and must be available for third shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and work closely with other Mechanics and other maintenance professionals to align maintenance and repair efforts with production goals or facility-specific needs.
• Perform and oversee routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality quickly and efficiently.
• Help to ensure adherence to safety protocols and follow applicable standards.
• Learn to identify opportunities to enhance maintenance procedures, recommend upgrades or adjustments to equipment, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Available to work night shift (11pm to 7:30am) and weekends as needed.
• Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
• Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience.
• Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE.
• Must possess and use personal hand tools.
• Basic fabrication capabilities, and fundamental hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and plumbing knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC systems. Must possess at least basic computer knowledge.
• Certified ability to operate/drive a forklift (a.k.a. industrial lift truck).
• Ability to create and review machine drawings and schematics.
