Maintenance Mechanic - Machinist - 2nd shift

As a Machinist / Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll maintain and repair / rebuild equipment and machine parts to ensure high-speed equipment runs smoothly. This includes diagnosing, repairing, machining, and fabricating parts while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild equipment, manufacture parts as needed, and fabricate components from blueprints or concepts using machining tools.


• Diagnose, modify, repair, and calibrate high-speed packaging machinery and process equipment.


• Perform equipment changeovers and troubleshoot using preventive maintenance programs (PMs), SOPs, and equipment manuals.


• Conduct routine maintenance tasks and repairs to prevent equipment failures.


• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain a safe working environment.


• Accurately document all work performed to meet company policies and regulatory standards.


• Work with team members to ensure the facility meets GMP, sanitation, food safety, and quality standards.


• Operate high lifts and forklift trucks (training available).


• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production goals.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude: strong mechanical skills to maintain various processing machines.


• 4+ years of maintenance and/or milling and machining experience.


• Experience operating a manual lathe and/or milling machine.


• Commitment to safety, GMP, and quality/food safety standards.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• General Basic Test (Minimum 80%).
