Looking for a Journeyman Electrician for this position.

Job Overview:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Hospital buildings, facilities, and equipment at an "expert", "master craftsman", or "specialist" level in one of the building trades. The candidate must be familiar with and proficient in other trades as well. Provides technical direction and advice to helpers, workers, and mechanics on maintenance operations. Assists the Supervisor in determining optimal maintenance and operations methods. Must be able to work independently, assessing maintenance or repair needs, prioritizing tasks, and responding appropriately. Customer service orientation is mandatory.

Work Hours:

• Full-time position: 80 hours bi-weekly
• Day shift

Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree (Required)
• 3-4 years experience in a related field (Required)
• Mechanical/electrical background including familiarity with repair and maintenance tools and terms
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals

Job Responsibilities:

• Completes paperwork associated with Work Orders and submits them on time. Files Incident Reports and notes critical turnover in Maintenance Redbook.
• Completes work orders, scheduled and unscheduled, within the designated timeframes.
• Maintains a neat and organized workspace, including mechanical and electrical rooms. Maintains proper inventory levels of parts in assigned areas. Presents a professional appearance.
• Uses proper techniques and personal protective equipment to perform work safely and efficiently.
• Uses technical skills to complete work requests thoroughly and professionally.

Working Conditions:

• Physical activities include occasional bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, and walking; frequent lifting of 50+ lbs and 50 lbs or less; consistent lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, talking, use of hands, and standing; consistent visual acuity near and frequent visual acuity far; consistent sitting.
