Job summary

Bostik, an Arkema Company, Louisville, KY, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep our manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and work with Production and Engineering to improve reliability.

In this hands-on role, you will maintain pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, heaters, and chillers, read blueprints, document activities, and support downtime reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and equipment schematics.
• Experience safely using hand and power tools.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Maintain pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, heaters, and chillers.
• Diagnose issues involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install, align, and assist with startup of new machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Document maintenance activities in the maintenance management system.
• Partner with Production and Engineering to reduce downtime.
• Support equipment‑reliability and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience
• Technical school training or an industrial maintenance certificate
• Military maintenance experience
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, welding, millwright work, or industrial controls
• Experience using a CMMS or EAM system
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts
