Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic to join our on-site facilities team. Under general supervision, you will repair and maintain machinery including motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, and other mechanical equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include diagnosing trouble, disassembling for repair or replacement parts, performing lubrication and upkeep, ordering parts, and assisting with building system installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience as a mechanic in a related field required.
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies and apply them in varied situations.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

• Assists trade personnel or contractors in designated areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Assists trade personnel or hired contractors in the performance of duties in designated areas.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education

Required Skills

• Three (3) years experience as a mechanic in a related field is required.
