Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain a range of mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans and HVAC systems.

You will diagnose trouble, disassemble machines, replace worn parts, lubricate, and ensure safety procedures are followed while ordering replacement parts as needed.

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• 1 year in general maintenance preferred.

Overview

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditions, etc. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts. Orders replacement parts. Inspects completed repairs. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisitions new parts and equipment.

• High School Diploma/GED.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Certifications in HVAC or electrical and construction preferred.
• Valid Driver's License - This position is required to drive a company vehicle and must meet the requirements of UF Health Central Florida Vehicle Policy.
