Versova in Canby, OR is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic / Industrial Technician to coordinate maintenance across multiple processing facilities and lead continuous improvement in equipment performance.

Requires 4+ years in industrial maintenance (or 6+ in automotive), with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLC programming, and OSHA/food safety standards. Some travel and on-call work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs.
• Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Analyze and optimize equipment performance using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with management to improve maintenance strategies and reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and USDA requirements.
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance needs.
• Lead root cause analysis for critical equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GE D
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
• Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices in industrial settings

This position involves hands-on technical work and troubleshooting. T he role requires the ability to work in various environments, including production floors, mechanical rooms, and offices. Some travel between facilities may be necessary. The Technician must be comfortable working around heavy machinery, at heights, and in confined spaces. The position may involve on-call duties for emergency situations and requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs . and work in various climate conditions.
