Job summary

Versova is seeking an Industrial Technician I to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and manure dryer processing systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting to support daily production goals.

The role requires basic hands-on experience, the ability to lift heavy items, and adherence to strict safety protocols. Training and PPE are provided to ensure safe, efficient operations on site in Colorado.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of general work experience with at least 1 year in maintenance.
• Knowledge of conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as production demands.
• Able to lift 75+ lbs.
• Strong reading comprehension to follow SOPs and instructions.
• Effective communication with co-workers and management.
• Safety‑minded with reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery following SOPs.
• Identify root causes and perform essential repairs to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose conveyor maintenance and perform preventive maintenance on processing machines.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain basic electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and replace bearings, gears, belts, and motors.

Job Summary

As an Industrial Technician I, you would be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and manure dryer processing systems/types of industrial machines and supporting equipment. Will perform preventative and predictive maintenance. Will perform periodic testing, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and effectively. This position supports the daily achievement of production goals through ensuring the proper functionality of our machines.

Essential Job Functions

• Under general supervision, repair and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery (i.e., automation, mechanical, electrical, conveying systems, etc.) using manufactures recommendations and company SOPs to ensure equipment is performing safely and to required specifications
• Identify root cause of basic mechanical and electrical issues and performs essential repairs that may include greasing, conveyer maintenance, plumbing, or replacing defective components. Works with appropriate personnel and management if further attention is required to resolve the issue
• Diagnosing and conducting overall conveyor maintenance on schedule as required
• Perform preventive maintenance on schedule for processing machines and supporting equipment
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain basic electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures
• Troubleshooting and replace or repair bearings, drive chains, gears, belts, pullies, shafts, rollers, electric motors, and gear boxes
• Responsible for maintaining tools, keeping them clean and in good working conditions. Keep work area organized, clean and free to move in
• Works in a safe manner to protect themselves and co-workers
• Identify unsafe conditions and corrects. Work with management to resolve safety concerns
• Be able to climb ladders and work comfortably at heights.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of general work experience with at least 1 year of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician.
• Knowledge of legs, conveyer systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on the production demand
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75+lbs
• Reading and comprehension skills necessary to read, understand and follow SOP's and other written instructions or work details
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and management.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, team oriented and moral character
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demand

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional trade or technical school education for maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical
• At least 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance
• Maintenance experience in the food, poultry or agriculture industry a plus
• Experience with safety/equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, and PPE a plus

The Industrial Technician position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial setting. This role requires adaptability to various environmental conditions, working at hights above 10ft, including exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and potentially wet or slippery surfaces. Workers must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and around moving machinery. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory and may include safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, and task-specific gear. The position involves a mix of indoor and outdoor work, with potential exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor maintenance tasks. Adherence to strict safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, is critical. This environment requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Exposure to industrial chemicals, lubricants, and cleaning agents is common, necessitating proper handling and safety precautions. The role also demands flexibility to respond to emergencies and equipment breakdowns, potentially requiring on-call availability.
