This Maintenance/Construction Technician II position is located at Bertie Correctional Institution. The primary purpose of this position is to train and supervise offenders in the installation, necessary preventative maintenance, and repair and regular maintenance of plant assets and systems to proper specifications and codes. This position supports basic operational maintenance and construction needs at the facility.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

The Division of Institutions is one of the divisions in DAC and employs a variety of staff, operates 56 institutions and is responsible for the care and custody of approximately 30,000 incarcerated individuals across North Carolina. Our division categorizes the institutions into 3 custody levels, which include minimum, medium, and close.
