Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep plant machinery and support systems running safely and efficiently. This role requires hands-on experience with a broad range of equipment and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, document work performed, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure minimal

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all plant machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose machine problems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Replace worn parts and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Document maintenance, inspections, and deficiencies in the tracking system.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Ensure safe operation and compliance with safety procedures.

Summary of Primary Functions:

Maintain and repair all machinery or mechanical equipment in the plant. This job requires a broad range of experience on various types of equipment including automobiles, tractors, cranes, trailers, production machinery, Travelift, loaders, pick up trucks, lift trucks, etc. Also, includes knowledge of building structures and their mechanical, electrical, heating, air conditioning and sanitary systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
  • Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose the source of equipment problems.
  • Dismantle and reassemble machines and equipment as necessary to complete repairs.
  • Replace broken, worn, or defective parts and components.
  • Perform necessary adjustments, repairs, and testing to ensure proper and safe operation of equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment inspections in accordance with established maintenance procedures.
  • Accurately document completed maintenance, repairs, inspections, and identified deficiencies in the company maintenance tracking system.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems on plant and mobile equipment.
  • Perform repairs on engines and related systems, including fuel, cooling, lubrication, intake, exhaust, and emission systems within the employee's demonstrated level of training and experience.
  • Diagnose and repair drivetrain, starting, charging, lighting, and other equipment systems within the employee's demonstrated level of training and experience.
  • Maintain and repair a variety of plant and mobile equipment, including production machinery, cranes, loaders, forklifts, trucks, trailers, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist in returning equipment to safe operating condition in a timely manner.
  • Identify required replacement parts, materials, tools, or outside support and communicate those needs to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of building structures and facility equipment, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other facility-related systems within the employee's level of training and authorization.
  • Communicate equipment deficiencies, repair status, safety concerns, and follow-up requirements to the Maintenance Lead or Maintenance Manager.
  • Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and other applicable company safety requirements.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with repairs and maintenance activities as needed.
  • Escalate complex or unfamiliar equipment problems when additional technical assistance or authorization is required.
  • Perform miscellaneous maintenance-related duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Job Specifications or Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
