Medxcel is seeking a facilities maintainer in Burnet, TX. You’ll work on the Seton Highland Lakes Hospital site within the Facilities department, performing maintenance on central steam, boilers, and HVAC systems.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, using a range of tools, and ensuring compliance with safety and Joint Commission standards. Day shift, full-time position offering growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trade school graduate with 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance.
• Experience maintaining complex utility systems is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and operate safety programs.

Responsabilités

• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs complex utility systems (steam, boilers, HVAC).
• Troubleshoots, services, and installs equipment (motors, pumps, appliances).
• Uses hand/power tools and fabrication equipment for electrical, plumbing, carpentry work.
• Maintains safety audits and regulatory documentation; supports SME on life safety codes.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs complex utility systems, including central steam, chemical water treatment, boilers, and industrial air conditioning/compressor systems.


• Troubleshoots, services, and installs a wide array of equipment, including electric motors, pumps, commercial/lab appliances, and facility motor vehicles.


• Utilizes specialized hand/power tools, welding torches, and fabrication equipment to perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and pipe-fitting work across the facility.


• Assists in maintaining strict compliance with local, State, Federal, and Joint Commission (TJC) standards by conducting safety audits, drills, and managing official regulatory documentation.


• Leads special projects, coordinates department orientations, conducts employee safety training, and serves as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on healthcare facility maintenance and life safety codes.

Qualifications

Must have one or more of the following:

• Graduate of trade school and 3 years’ experience


• 5 years’ relevant experience


• Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
