Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in our Fayetteville, NC plant under supervision. The role involves assisting in installation of new equipment, following maintenance schedules, and supporting the maintenance team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1-2 years of relevant experience, forklift operation, welding and piping skills, and basic knowledge of mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2+ years of demonstrated work experience that includes forklift operation and welding/piping.

Responsibilities

• Assists in installation of new equipment.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
• Maintains clean, neat work area and safety compliance.
• Trains Level 1 Maintenance personnel.
• Diagnosis and repair of motors, gear boxes, pumps and related components.
• Work may require nights/weekends and on-call availability.
