Materion in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the facility and site operations through mechanical work.

You will troubleshoot systems, perform preventive maintenance, dismantle/assemble machines, rebuild pumps and furnaces, read blueprints, weld and machine, measure with calipers and tape, repair/install pipes, and use CMMS for work orders. Will assist with scheduling and snow removal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer graduation from Millwright/Mechanic trade school/program.
• Preferred 3–5 years of on-the-job experience as a millwright/mechanic in industrial/chemical/pharmaceutical setting.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot systems and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of malfunction.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as roll changes, lubrication, belt and bearing replacements.
• Dismantle and assemble machines using power and hand tools.
• Rebuild pumps, annealing furnaces and other equipment.
• Plan work using models, blueprints, and drawings.
• Welding, machining on lathe/mill, carpentry, and metal fabrication.
