Tapestry, Inc. — Kate Spade New York, in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Mechanic II to perform maintenance on conveyors and related equipment for the distribution center.

This role covers electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, welding, painting, and forklift repair, with installation and repair work as needed. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience (conveyors, lift trucks, HVAC, plumbing) and strong electrical/mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years experience maintaining conveyors, lift trucks, building systems, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical abilities; able to read diagrams and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain conveyor system and assist with troubleshooting.
• Set up and maintain receiving, picking and shipping equipment for DC operations.
• Service facility equipment including the conveyor system with preventive maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on order pickers, forklift trucks and pallet jacks; battery changes.
• Handle office maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing and mechanical work.
