Job summary

Tapestry seeks a Mechanic II for night shift in Jacksonville, FL, to maintain and repair the conveyor system and related equipment at the distribution center. You will handle electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and forklift tasks as part of preventive maintenance and repairs.

The role requires 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience, strong electrical and mechanical abilities, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience maintaining equipment such as conveyors, lift trucks, building apparatus, HVAC equipment, mechanical and plumbing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Regularly to lift up to 20 lbs throughout the shift and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist or crouch for entirety of shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain conveyor system and assist with troubleshooting.
• Set up and maintain all receiving, picking and shipping equipment to ensure DC operations are running smoothly at all times.
• Service facility equipment, to include the conveyor system, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and repair.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on all order pickers, forklift trucks and pallet jacks (including battery charging and change outs).
• Perform all office maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, furniture reconfiguration and movement, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work.
• Must have certification(s) or be able to demonstrate ability in 120V-277V electrical installation, 3 phase electrical motor control troubleshooting, and/or forklift truck, order picker, and pallet jack maintenance and repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
