Job Overview:

Responsible for the prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of facilities, equipment, and company vehicles. Identify, monitor and troubleshoot problems. Keep records of work performed and complete maintenance history logs. Control and account for equipment. Ensure operation of safe and functionally sound equipment. Maintain grounds and clear parking lots. Maintain and order supplies and parts as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and repair more complex machinery (conveyor system, Pick to light technology, scanners, shrink wrap machine, box erector, etc.)
  2. Repair and maintain PIT
  3. Battery Change Repair
  4. Provide recommendation to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment
  5. Efficiently prioritize repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule
  6. Conduct regular facilities inspections.
  7. Assist in developing a preventive maintenance schedule.
  8. Ensure an adequate inventory of necessary spare parts and materials is maintained
  9. Assist personnel as needed. Communicate regularly with personnel to ensure that repairs and maintenance needs are met and coordinated with production schedules
  10. Keep management informed of areas activities and of significant concerns. Report major concerns or significant problems
  11. Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location
  12. Good judgement is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
Job Requirements:
  1. Able to read and understand blueprints and technical reference manuals.
  2. Knowledge of production functions, basic computer skills and well organized and attentive to detail
  3. Understanding of equipment operation, maintenance procedures and safety guidelines
  4. Two years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment (Machining and fabrication experience helpful)
  5. Excellent mechanical aptitude and able to use various hand tools
  6. Ability to work well independently as well as cooperate and communicate well with others
  7. Good judgement is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
