Job summary

American Pacific Corporation (AMPAC) in Cedar City, UT seeks a skilled millwright/mechanical technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and rebuild production equipment and related machinery. Wage is $33.60 per hour with scheduled increases at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months based on performance.

Shift: 10-hour days with weekend coverage. Applicants should have journeyman or equivalent in Millwright, Machinist, Welding or Pipefitting, strong mechanical aptitude, and willingness to work overtime

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Journeyman or equivalent in one of: Millwright, Machinist, Welding, Pipefitting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to rebuild pumps and gearboxes.
• Experience with welding and fabrication of stainless steel or carbon steel.
• Able to work shifts, including weekends and overtime; tolerate temperature extremes.
• Complies with safety, quality policies; ITAR access eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs machinery as needed.
• Rebuilds pumps, gear reducers, and other process equipment.
• Aligns rotating equipment with dial indicators or laser tools.
• Welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Maintains safety and quality standards.
