Job summary

Purple is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic II to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a hands-on manufacturing setting in the United States. The role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting safety and efficiency goals.

Qualifying candidates have 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills, plus ability to read manuals and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and work orders.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform basic arithmetic.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally; accurately record numbers and names.
• Working knowledge of industrial maintenance tools and safe hazardous-material handling.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machinery and plant-facility equipment using safe, reliable maintenance practices.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; diagnose failures, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and adjust.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns during production and complete scheduled maintenance during planned machine service.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders; perform basic machining, plumbing, and carpentry tasks; use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment; report equipment defects or unusual conditions; maintain clean, orderly work areas in compliance with safety requirements.
