Job summary

Waukesha County is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for the Facilities Maintenance Division to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC components. The role offers a Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedule with seven weekend shifts and two holiday shifts per year.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and five years of relevant work experience, including two years in a responsible level.

• Five years of maintenance experience across building systems, mechanical/electrical, HVAC.
• Two of the five years must be at a responsible level (Maintenance Mechanic I or equivalent).
• Ability to perform ADA-listed essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Work Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm; participate in weekend/holiday shifts.

Five (5) years of work experience involving general repairs and maintenance to building construction systems, mechanical/electrical systems, heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related areas, two (2) of the five (5) years of experience must be at a responsible level (Maintenance Mechanic I or equivalent).3.
