Job summary

American Golf Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and install onsite mechanical and electrical equipment across course and clubhouse facilities.

Working with limited supervision, you will partner with the General Manager to identify maintenance needs, communicate issues, and support planning and budgeting for upcoming repairs and capital expenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialty or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related experience in reel grinding, small engine repair, welding, electrical work, carpentry, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and equipment issues.
• Assist with clubhouse maintenance and support cart mechanics with adjustments, repairs, and fabrications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including repairs, parts usage, and warranty work.
• Manage equipment, parts, and inventories by monitoring stock and placing orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment and storage of tools.
• Communicate maintenance requirements and safety procedures to team members.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support events and maintenance requests.
• Resolve escalated maintenance issues and perform advanced fabrications when needed.
• Train and evaluate the work of other Maintenance Mechanics as assigned.
• Order equipment and supplies with management approval and maintain vendor relationships.
• Ensure warranty requirements are processed timely.
• Maintain familiarity with safety programs and policies.
• Implement and support American Golf initiatives and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of onsite mechanical and electrical equipment. This role supports the safe, efficient operation of course and clubhouse facilities by maintaining equipment such as motors, compressors, carts, tools, and electrical systems. Working with limited supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic partners closely with the General Manager to identify maintenance needs, communicate equipment issues, and support planning and budgeting for upcoming repairs and capital expenses.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, tools, and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and operational manuals
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Assist with clubhouse maintenance and support cart mechanics with adjustments, repairs, and fabrications as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including documentation of repairs, parts usage, and warranty work
• Manage equipment, parts, and supply inventories by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt of materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment; ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
• Communicate maintenance requirements, safety procedures, and proper equipment use to team members
• Coordinate with internal departments to support events and special maintenance requests
• Resolve escalated maintenance issues and perform advanced fabrications when standard troubleshooting is insufficient
• Train, direct, and evaluate the work of other Maintenance Mechanics as assigned
• Order equipment and supplies with management approval and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and service providers
• Ensure warranty requirements are processed accurately and on time
• Maintain familiarity with and adhere to all safety programs, policies, and procedures
• Implement and support all American Golf initiatives and programs as directed by management
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs

Working Conditions

• Work schedule varies based on business needs; evenings, weekends, and holidays are required
• Role requires standing, walking, climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and use of hands and fingers for extended periods
• May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus
• Work environment may include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, sharp objects, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals
