Job summary

Parts ASAP is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III in Lenexa, KS to keep our production facility running at full strength. This hands-on role requires hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment expertise, with a focus on preventing downtime and solving problems before issues arise.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of industrial maintenance experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and is comfortable using CMMS, hand tools, and CNC equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment.
• Comfortable using hand, power, and specialized tools — and comfortable with computers.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• HVAC knowledge is a plus.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance and safety inspections across plant equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machines, pneumatic tools, PLCs and hydraulic equipment.
• Safely operating cranes, hoists, power tools, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
• Keeping accurate maintenance records in the CMMS system.
• Requesting replacement parts and completing repairs in a timely, professional manner.
• Attending daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and reduce downtime.
• Identifying and submitting continuous improvement opportunities.
• Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organized.

The Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Overtime: As needed (mandatory when scheduled)

What You'll Be Doing

Working Conditions

This is an active, hands‑on role — expect regular standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You may be exposed to petroleum‑based products, cleaning solvents, and sharp tools; safety training and PPE are provided.
