Starting pay is $28.74/hour plus a 5% targeted monthly bonus; benefits start day 1 and generous vacation after 90 days. This is a hands-on, safety-focused position located in Boss, MO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Level I maintenance training completed; Level II Maintenance Assessment Test passed.
• Minimum of two years in a mechanical maintenance role; or four years if no technical training.
• Valid driver''s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with Level I and III Maintenance personnel for timely repair services.
• Assist in installation of new equipment and modification of existing equipment.
• Assist in plant upgrades to improve production and efficiency.
• Manage storage area, shipments, and relocation of waste containers to Hazardous Waste Storage Areas.
• Follow EHS policies and best practices; report unsafe acts or conditions; support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to maintain The Doe Run Company's equipment in order to ensure process safety and minimize division downtime. This position is located at our Buick Resource Recycling Division in Boss, MO.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Must complete Level I of the Doe Run Company maintenance training program or equivalent technical program and pass a Level II Maintenance Assessment Test
• Minimum of two years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
• If no technical training, high school diploma or equivalent, you must have a minimum of four years of technical experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of divisional operations (i.e., mining, milling, smelting).
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment, including cranes, forklifts, skid steer loaders, etc.
• Working knowledge of metal fabrication, hydraulics/pneumatics, refractory work, bearings/seals, welding, pipe fitting, pump repair, mechanical repairs, and construction maintenance.
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, I-Series AS400/Peoplesoft, preferred.
• Ability to read and draw schematics/blueprints.
• Demonstrated skill in using small hand tools, advanced measuring, and basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide scheduled maintenance and repairs.
• Work with Level I and III Maintenance personnel in order to provide effective, timely and efficient repair and maintenance service.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and the modification of existing equipment.
• Assist in plant upgrades in order to improve production and efficiency of the plant.
• Manage storage area, shipments, and relocation of waste containers from Satellite Accumulation Areas to Hazardous Waste Storage Areas.
• Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment, Physical & Lifting:

• Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, a respirator, hearing protection and eyewear, and exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet, humid conditions, vibration, loud noises, and extreme heat. Occasionally works in confined spaces and/or at heights of four feet or more, with fall protection.

Regularly requires hearing and reaching with hands/arms. Frequently requires talking, feeling attributes of objects, grasping, pushing, standing, walking, and repetitive movement. Occasionally requires sitting, driving, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing or balancing. Requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.

• Regularly required to lift up to 15 pounds. Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds.
