Job summary

One Fine Family in Baltimore is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems in a food production setting.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and food processing equipment; reading schematics and manuals; replacing worn components; and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• Trade school certification or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Proficiency with hand tools, multimeters, and basic fabrication.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and food processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; read schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
• Replace worn components such as bearings, belts, and sensors; install new machinery or production lines.
• Document maintenance activities via work orders/logs; ensure OSHA/USDA compliance.
• Mentor junior mechanics and coordinate with supervisors to minimize downtime.

This role requires working knowledge of food production equipment, preventive maintenance, and safety practices. Maintenance Mechanic II is expected to work independently on routine tasks and mentor junior mechanics.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and food processing equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systemsRead and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsReplace worn or faulty components such as bearings, belts, and sensorsSupport installation of new machinery or production linesDocument maintenance activities via work orders/logsEnsure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and food safety standardsMentor Mechanic I staff on safety and troubleshootingCoordinate with supervisors to minimize downtimeParticipate in on-the-job training and technical coursework as required.Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.Set up all equipment in both buildings.Tig welding/Mig welding/Fabrication.Electrical trouble shooting/control wiring.Plumbing (replace valves, piping, installing water drops, etc).Mechanical (repairing or replacing gear reducers, etc.)Take test for level 3 and pass.Other duties as assigned.Required:Trade School Certification or equivalent experience.2+ years of industrial maintenance experienceProficient with hand tools, multimeters, and basic fabricationFamiliarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systemsAbility to work in varying temperature conditions.Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Comfortable working at heights.Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, and background screen.Preferred:Technical certificate in industrial maintenance or mechatronicsExperience in a USDA-regulated facilityPLC and control systems knowledgeOSHA 10/30 certificationHolly Poultry, Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
