Job summary

Ecolab in Glenwood, IL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain plant equipment and infrastructure. You will apply Ecolab standards, perform TPM tasks, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment availability and reliability.

Responsibilities include electrical, welding, plumbing, PLC programming, and autonomous maintenance; contribute to root cause analyses and continuous improvement; complete planned maintenance on time and escalate issues when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• 1 year of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment.
• 1 year of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment.
• No immigration sponsorship available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with SH&E standards, actively promote safe behavior and complete monthly safety observations.
• Proactively propose and implement improvements to existing work practices and quality of products.
• Record non-conformances on equipment and report to Maintenance Team Leader.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and develop solutions to aid quality management.
• Monitor effectiveness of maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability.
• Follow standard maintenance procedures, propose improvements, and complete maintenance tasks including electrical, welding, plumbing, and PLC work.
• Complete all planned and preventive maintenance tasks on-time including escalation of issues to engineering.
• Propose new preventive maintenance tasks or updates for existing tasks.
• Carry out safe and effective equipment repairs, including urgent breakdowns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
