Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on 1st shift (6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday with weekends per business need) to ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment at our Salem, VA facility. You will inspect, test, monitor, and repair equipment, contributing to safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced packaging environment.

We require 2+ years of mechanical experience in high-speed manufacturing (food industry preferred) and a High School Diploma.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging/manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and repair equipment issues with minimal supervision in assigned area.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot bottling, filling equipment and gantry palletizers.
• Perform electrical repairs and wiring, read schematics, use a multimeter.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
