Job Summary

Maintain assigned equipment, buildings, and facilities. Purchase parts and equipment as needed. Communicate effectively with Leads, Supervisors, Managers and Sr. Management.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Minimize equipment downtime and ensure achievement of daily and weekly production goals by diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment (molding machines, high‑volume automated assembly equipment, welders, conveyor systems, etc.)
  • Utilize diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications to guide maintenance tasks.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices, soliciting operator information and listening for abnormal conditions.
  • Use precision measuring and testing instruments, gauges and hand tools to perform essential functions.
  • Verify effectiveness of repairs, improvements and ensure product meets specifications.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance per manufacturer schedules, policies, procedures and facility guidelines.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance support to production associates through questions, requests and communication with operators, engineering, management and outside contractors.
  • Fabricate new fixturing required for the department and modify existing equipment as assigned.
  • Assist with investigating potential areas for quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Recommend process adjustments and implement changes to aid production.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to ensure a safe workplace and identify/report potential safety hazards.
  • Order spare parts inventory for machines and equipment.
  • Comply with all GMPs, SOPs, MIs and SIs during work, and with facility escalation procedures.
  • Maintain all required documentation, including production and maintenance logs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Technical Degree, Certification or Apprenticeship in a related field (preferred).
  • One year experience as a maintenance mechanic (or similar role) in a production environment.
  • Maintenance experience in a medical device manufacturing environment (preferred).
Pay Transparency

The base pay actually offered will be based on location, education, skills and experience. Incentives may be provided, including discretionary annual bonuses and a long‑term incentive plan. A competitive suite of benefits is also offered, which may include: 401(k) with up to 6% employer match, employee stock purchase plan, flexible time off for salaried employees, vacation accrual for hourly employees, paid sick time, holidays, parental leave, disability insurance, tuition reimbursement and health and welfare benefits.

Salary Range

$23.80 – $40.40 per hour.
