Job summary

Haemonetics is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Center of Excellence in Clinton, PA. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize automated equipment, including molding and high-speed assembly lines, to keep production on schedule.

You will document maintenance actions, follow GMP/SOP guidelines, and collaborate with engineers and operators. A related degree is preferred, with HS diploma required, and day-one benefits apply.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or higher in a related field preferred; HS diploma required.
  • Experience as maintenance mechanic in a production environment.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect equipment using diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance logs and replace worn parts.
  • Ensure GMP/SOP compliance and maintain a safe workplace.

Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is: $23.80-$40.40/Hourly The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role. Haemonetics is hiring Maintenance Technicians out of our Center of Excellence in Clinton, PA! In this role, you will directly impact product quality and operational efficiency. You will apply advanced technical problem-solving within the automation department. This is a direct-hire opportunity with benefits starting day 1 of hire.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Minimizes equipment downtime and ensures achievement of daily and weekly production goals by diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, including molding machines, high volume, high speed automated assembly equipment, welder, conveyor systems, and other auxiliary equipment such as case sealer, printers, labelers, flow wrappers, etc.
  • Utilizes diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions, and engineering specifications in the completion of these job functions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; soliciting information from line operators and other production associates, and listening for problems.
  • Uses precision measuring and testing instruments, gauges, and other hand tools to complete essential functions.
  • Verifies effectiveness of repairs, improvements and ensures product produced meets specification.
  • Performs and documents all preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer’s operation and maintenance schedule, policy and procedure and facility guidelines.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance support to production associates by answering questions and requests; communicating with operators, engineering, management, outside contractors and others as necessary.
  • Fabricates any new fixturing required for the department to which assigned, as well as modifications to existing equipment.
  • Assists with investigating potential areas for quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Recommends process adjustments to aid production.
  • Implements changes as directed.
  • Recommends and implement improvements to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Identifies and reports potential safety hazards.
  • Orders spare parts inventory for machines and equipment.
  • Complies with all GMP’s, SOP’s, MI’s and SI’s during the course of his work.
  • Complies with facility escalation procedures.
  • Maintains all required documentation, including production and maintenance logs.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Technical Degree, Certification, or Apprenticeship in Related field, preferred.
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Experience as a maintenance mechanic (or similar role) in a production environment.
  • Maintenance experience in a medical device manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Experience with high speed, high volume, PLC based production systems, preferred.
