Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $30.00 Hourly
Job Shift: Second Shift: 12PM-8PM
Description

Crazy Aaron's is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join the second shift team from 12PM-8PM after completing training on the first shift from 8AM-4PM. A shift differential will apply to the rate upon moving to second shift.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Maintenance Mechanic’s primary role is to assist the Plant Operations team by performing preventative maintenance to ensure the reliability of manufacturing equipment and processes. This includes troubleshooting and problem solving, providing efficient repairs, and monitoring industrial processing, production, and packaging machinery to support company production goals.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the production and engineering teams to accomplish company and departmental goals
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance techniques on industrial equipment
  • Identify and diagnose faulty equipment, troubleshoot, and recommend needed repairs in the event of a breakdown
  • Develop a working relationship with production staff
  • Ensure production equipment is kept in good operational condition
  • Be a key player with improving company production quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Safely operate power tools, hoists, and forklifts
  • Read machine and electrical schematics and drawings, voltmeters, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement instruments for troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Communicate needed repairs, parts, and outside services as needed to manager
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with internal procedures and safety protocols; comply with applicable OSHA requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or Director of Plant Operations
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 year as an industrial maintenance mechanic or equivalent experience, Advanced technical, trade, or other training preferred
  • High school diploma/GED, or an equivalent combination of years of education and maintenance experience
  • Proficiency with computers (Microsoft)
  • Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulic systems and LOTO/deenergizing those systems
  • Have basic hand tool knowledge (common sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing CMMS systems a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift and carry up to 60 lbs. to shoulder height
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing.
  • Work environment could include slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes or odors
