Job summary

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic in the HVAC Shop performs a variety of duties involving the maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will be assigned a variety of functions (HVAC Maintenance & Repair).
• Will perform a variety of functions.
• Must have extensive knowledge of industrial heating and cooling systems, boilers and pumps .
• Must have electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
• Installation of a variety of equipment.
• Repair of a variety of equipment.
• Maintenance of a variety of equipment.
• Ensure quality work performance.
• Ensure Project initiatives.
• Employees are required to drive company vehicles on a Federal Installation.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of four years’ related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training.
• Requires LP Gas certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
