JBS USA Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic hourly to keep high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment running reliably. The role requires mechanical aptitude, welding skills, and the ability to work in extreme heat and cold while following safety protocols.

Evening and night shifts are available. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants should be able to pass a mechanical knowledge test, drug test, and background check. Basic computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment preferred.
• Must pass a mechanical knowledge test.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Position requires a drug test and background check.
• Climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and work with a variety of hand/tools.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
• Perform welding tasks (Stainless Steel, MIG, TIG) as needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
• Perform labeling and tagging of systems and/or checks for verifications.
• Support plant equipment while maintaining a safe plant meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements.

Qualifications

• Must pass a mechanical knowledge test.


• Ability to communicate in English


• Physical requirements: Climb ladders, lift heavy objects, work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.


• Work environment: Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat and cold conditions.


• These are evening and night shift positions


• High School Diploma or GED required.


• 2 – 3 years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment preferred.


• Basic computer skills a plus.


• No licenses required; training provided.


• Position requires a drug test and background check.


• Ability to learn quickly, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
