Job summary

PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps. The role requires reading schematics, electrical testing, and multi-craft repair across production equipment.

Ideal candidates have PLC knowledge, heavy equipment experience, and are prepared for a physically demanding environment with shifts, overtime, and safety-driven teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' training in mechanical/electrical repair in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach for extended periods.
• Willing to work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs.
• Respond to maintenance calls and help complete ongoing repairs.
• Diagnose issues on a wide variety of equipment.
• Develop repair lists and identify short- and long-term fixes.
• Ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
• Inspect machines and follow task lists for corrective actions.
