Job summary

RRD has immediate openings for seasoned Maintenance Mechanics in Durham, NC. Work a 2,2,3 day shift: 6:45am–7:00pm or 6:45pm–7:00am, maintaining a high-speed trading card packaging line featuring Longford feeders, a Syntegon DO-DIY wrapper, and a Shanklin shrink wrapper.

The technician brings mechanical, electrical, automation, and materials-science skills to prevent damage from static, heat, or mishaps, and to keep presses, die cutters, conveyors, and bindery equipment running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex equipment and machinery.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read complex drawings, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Strong for precise alignment and measurements in high-speed packaging environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization's production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or mechanical faults.
• Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools per specs and diagrams.
• Ensure machinery operates within safety and quality standards.
