Job summary

Alutiiq Logistics and Maintenance Services, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Helper to assist with maintenance and repairs across equipment, HVAC systems, and related infrastructure. You will work under the Lead Engineer or Project Manager to perform inspections, services, and installations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical/electrical aptitude, and ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/mechanical training preferred.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, HVAC systems preferred.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude; able to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license; TS/SCI clearance preferred or ability to obtain SCI; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance mechanic in performing repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Support HVAC installation, servicing, and repairs under supervision.
• Help diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; replace parts with hand and power tools.
• Assist in installing new machinery and upgrading systems for efficiency and safety.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and report significant issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards; work under project managers.
