Job summary

Tyson Foods seeks a General Mechanic to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment across Harvest and Processing at our Texas beef facility. You will follow Tyson policies and contribute to a safe, efficient operation.

Requirements include 6 months of mechanic work or completion of an industrial maintenance training program, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and willingness to work in cold, damp, or hot environments. Welding experience is a plus. Tyson Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

Job Details

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

• These General Mechanic positions could work any department in Harvest or Processing of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Lifting up to 100 pounds is required.
• These positions work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments (30 degrees to 105 degrees). Must be mechanically inclined. Welding experience preferred.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and a 3 time limit.

Requirements

6 months experience of mechanic work in the work history section of application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (qualifying candidates must take a tour before accepting a job offer)
