Job summary

Silvi Materials is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the operational excellence and safety of plant machinery and facilities in Raleigh, NC or Apex, NC. You will work under supervision of the Assets and Environmental Manager to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency across plants and fleet.

The role requires inspecting facilities, troubleshooting mechanical issues, coordinating with electrical and structural vendors, and maintaining parts and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to operate in a fast-paced industrial setting.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual in English/Spanish considered a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily walk-throughs and inspections of facilities to identify mechanical risks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve plant issues with minimal disruption to production.
• Maintain weekly lubrication schedule for critical components.
• Diagnose and repair plant systems including pneumatics and conveyors.
• Assist electrical vendors with high-voltage systems and coordinate with contractors for repairs.
• Coordinate installation/removal of machinery and manage spare parts inventory.
• Oversee plant grounds and security, lighting, and upkeep.
• Monitor mixer trucks pre-trip inspections and assist in fleet maintenance.

Skills

Valid Driver's License
