Job summary

Mural-Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Maintenance Mechanic for our nonwoven manufacturing facility. You will keep a wide range of production equipment running safely and efficiently, diagnosing problems and fixing issues right the first time.

The role features hands-on work on fiber opening, bonding lines, conveyors, and related systems, with opportunities to expand into electrical troubleshooting and PLC fault finding while maintaining safety with Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with power transmission components.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Electrical skills development and PLC fault-finding interest.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and replace belts, seals, bearings.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems; check valves and lines.
• Grow with basic electrical troubleshooting and PLC fault finding.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate guards and simple structures.
• Document repairs and parts usage in a CMMS.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout and safety rules around heavy equipment.
