Job Description

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of boiler plant, air compressors, breathing air compressors along with associated dryer/purifiers and adiabatic cooling tower. Provide support to piping services, including piping installations, welding, troubleshooting, and repair of yard water, sewer, steam condensate, and plumbing systems. Operate boiler plant and air compressors. Assist with crane preventative maintenance as needed (training provided).

Required/Preferred Education/Training

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• State of Maine boiler operator's license (Grade C)
• 4th class Grade B license

Preferred:

• 3rd Class Grade A license
• 2nd Class Grade AA license

Required/Preferred Experience

Required:

• 5-10 years' experience in industrial/commercial plumbing, pipefitting, boiler operation, waste disposal, and potable water systems
• Familiarity with IBC codes
• Ability to work with steam, condensate, water, and sewer systems
• Knowledge of steam distribution and condensate recovery systems
• Experience with operation and maintenance of gas/oil fired boilers, air compressors, and air dryers

Preferred:

• Maine State plumbing license
