Job description

Job Title: Mechanic – General/Mobile Shop

Role & Responsibilities:

• Compliance with all safety and housekeeping rules.
• Become familiar with plant work order system.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, cranes/hoist, rigging equipment, welders, fall restraint, etc.
• Work as part of a team, communicating and cooperating to achieve the required results.
• Take an active role in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
• Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, overtime, weekends, etc.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in servicing heavy equipment such as fork trucks, loaders, dozers, backhoes, dump trucks, and lifts.
• Ability to pull and reinstall motors from fork trucks.
• Strong diagnostic skills on mobile equipment.
• Willingness to work the assigned schedule.
• Understanding of plant & departmental safety rules, standards, and programs.
• Physical ability to negotiate steps and ladders.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Responsible for maintaining personal tools as specified.

• Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

Rate of pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
