Job summary

Shine Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment within our Torrance facility.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating with the production team. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, diagnosing failures, performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs, assisting in plant start-up, and ensuring safety and food safety practices are

Qualifications

• Forklift certified
• Experience in food production line equipment maintenance
• Welding, Soldering and fabrication knowledge
• Ammonia refrigeration system knowledge highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Monitors equipment functions
• Diagnoses equipment and machinery failures or problems and take corrective action with minimal supervision
• Performs advanced electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs and adjustment
• Capable of handling plant startup, boiler room and refrigeration system.
• Utilize work jobs, breakdown report, work orders, and preventative maintenance logs
• Performs fabrication of equipment used for processing and packaging.
• Assist in the installation of new plant equipment
• Assist production personnel with mechanical, electrical or other operational problems on any plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication on production machinery and other plant equipment and facilities in accordance with the preventative maintenance program as assigned.
• Perform and properly complete Lock Out/ Tag Out and Hot Work Tickets as needed.
