Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support plant operations in California. You will inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maximize uptime and safety.

The role requires reading schematics, adhering to GMP standards, and collaborating with operators and contractors. You will work in a union environment with flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Repair experience—mechanical and electrical—required.
• Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics; ability to read schematics/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety policies and maintain housekeeping, GMP and food safety practices.
• Changeover, repair and troubleshoot plant production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance; respond to maintenance requests.
• Maintain spare parts and logs; coordinate with vendors/contractors as needed.
• Train others and continuously seek operational improvements to reduce downtime.
