Pioneer Metal Finishing is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift (11pm-9am, Monday–Thursday) with occasional overtime. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing plant equipment, piping, electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Requires a high school diploma; technical training or experience is preferred. We value strong communication, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and willingness to perform varied

• Fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Performs maintenance, installations, and repairs of equipment and building support systems.
• Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in cranes/hoists, motors, chillers, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Ensure safety and maintain documentation per procedures and regulations.
• Assist in start-up/shut-down of plant equipment and facilities.

Overview

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will:

Performs maintenance, installations, and repairs of equipment and building support systems that are necessary to the operation of the plant and offices at the facility.

• Works on job duties and assignments as they relate to maintenance, repair, installing, fabricating, adjusting, troubleshooting, and any other maintenance duties as needed.
• Responsible for communicating preventive maintenance checks.
• Diagnose & resolve equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties related to, but not limited to, cranes/hoists, 3 phase motors, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, HVA units, pumps, exhaust fans, etc.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations.
• Performs start-up and shut down functions on plant equipment and facilities as required.
• Works consistently to resolve sited safety issues in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining departmental documentation as required.
• Workings safely at all times in compliance with OSHA safety and EPA regulations.
• Adheres to all Quality System procedures and work instructions.
• Works closely with EHS Leader in the handling, labeling, containment and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Responsible for monitoring wastewater discharge for color/quality.
• Fill chemical tanks as needed for continued wastewater treatment.
• Empty filter press as required.
• Assist in any spill clean-up operations.
• Maintain an organized and clean operating area including cleaning empty drums if needed.
• Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions, as directed by the Maintenance Manager

What to Expect on the Job:

• Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heaving carts, seasonal high temperature and humidity levels, working at heights, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
• Must be able to wear respiratory protection when required.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted.
• Potential splash exposure near process lines.

What we're Looking For:

• Must have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Fabrication experience preferred, or similar experience.
• Requires broad based knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing acquired through hands on training.
• Technical degree with a minimum of two (2) years work-related experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Blueprint & schematic knowledge helpful.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to work individually and part of a team.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
