The Department of Veterans Affairs' Battle Creek VA Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in the Structural Maintenance Section. The successful candidate will perform skilled trades work across carpentry, plaster/drywall, painting, and flooring installations to keep facilities operational and safe.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing roofs, walls, doors, trim, and signage; handling masonry and concrete tasks; and ensuring work adheres to safety standards under

Competenze

• Experience or training demonstrating ability to perform structural maintenance work.
• Qualification review follows OPM Federal Wage System standards.

Mansioni

• Carpentry: construct, alter, repair walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and trim.
• Plaster/Drywall: surface prep, coat, finish plaster and drywall systems.
