Responsibilities

• Repairing, constructing, remodeling, and maintaining a variety of wooden and wood substitute structures.
• Install studs, sills, plates, braces, joists, floors, sub-floors, trim and related components.
• Fabricate and install window/door frames and shelves; design modular furniture systems.
• Interpret and modify drawings, blueprints, and specifications; determine materials and sequence.
• Electrical work: install, repair, diagnose wiring, controls, fixtures; test with voltmeters/watt meters.
• Plumbing work: install/maintain plumbing systems; replace defective parts; seal components.
• Pipefitting and routing of piping systems from plans and sketches; ensure proper pitch and elevation.
• Test systems for proper pressures and leak-free joints; adjust valves and relays for optimal operation.
• HVAC: install, diagnose, repair, test refrigeration cycles and components.
