Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic oversees and performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the building and manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities include management and execution of PM schedules, repair of building and supporting equipment that is needed to maintain building functionality and upkeep. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and also fulfill on-call duties for repairs. This is a 1st shift position.

• Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment.
• Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Facilities Manager or his designee.
• Communicate with all plant personnel.
• Understand and practice GF CORE VALUES.
• Maintain and build job skills through company or external training programs.
• Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition.
• Communicate with GF support services.
• Follow all company Safety rules and guidelines in operating machinery.
• Sustain the 6S system throughout all work areas.
• Maintain facility housekeeping.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is not operating properly.

Education and Experience:

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

• .Typical office/factory environment with extended exposure to extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in extreme temperatures.
• Position requires a full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles.

This position is considered a safety sensitive position as defined by Oklahoma House Bill 2612 in relation to the legalization of medical marijuana in the state of Oklahoma.
