Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a maintenance technician in Aberdeen, MD to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably. You will work multi-craft duties across pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems and pumps, applying preventative maintenance practices.

The role requires willingness to work Wed-Sat, night shift from 8:30pm to 7:00am, with a $1 per hour shift premium and the ability to operate in a high-energy, fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety

Quick Look

• Pay: $40.81 per hour
• Location: Aberdeen, MD
• Work Days: Wed-Sat
• Start Time: 8:30pm
• End Time: 7:00am

• Plus additional $1 per hr. shift premium

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Required to work on weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 points with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without accommodation
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability

Helpful Experience

• Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
• Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)
