Job summary

Eco Material Technologies, a CRH Company, is seeking a qualified mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair machinery and mobile equipment across our operations in the U.S. The role requires hands-on problem solving, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

You will perform preventive maintenance, generate work orders, interpret manuals, and use a range of tools and diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical training certificate or associate's degree in related field a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with various levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must have technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other pertinent operating systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify problems with machinery or mobile equipment using diagnostic tools and their own knowledge of mechanical systems
• Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary
• Perform preventive maintenance and develop PM programs to keep machinery and mobile equipment running smoothly and prevent future issues
• Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems
• Refer to and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand the layout and function of various mechanical systems
• Use wide range of tools, from simple wrenches and screwdrivers to more complex diagnostic equipment and power tools
• May work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other mechanics, engineers, and technicians to complete projects
• Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency
• May be required to be on-call
• Install equipment and machinery as needed.
