Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. seeks a maintenance/plant technician in Wisconsin to diagnose and repair plant equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes and valves. You’ll work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and PLCs to keep production running in a dairy environment.

Candidates should follow simple instructions, apply basic math, and handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Night shift premium may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, adequate math skills.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Repair/rebuilds machinery including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves and related equipment.
• Repair/rebuilds/replaces hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and understands flow controls.
• Understand and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (nomenclature, input, output, etc.).
• Repair/replaces instrumentation including level sensors, RTD's, chart recorders, prox sensors and photo eyes.
