Job summary

AmerCareRoyal is seeking a maintenance mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment. You will dismantle, move, and install machinery as required, and ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping procedures.

Responsibilities include analyzing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems, performing preventive maintenance, reading blueprints to set up machine tools, and supporting changeovers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical/pneumatic equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mill machines, and machine shop equipment.
• Fabrication and blueprinting skills for part creation and machine maintenance.
• Ability to read and write in English, with strong communication skills.

• Notifies maintenance department manager and operations supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
• Review’s production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, performs scheduled maintenance. Assists operations team with change overs, when necessary.
• Test’s equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Prove out equipment function after repairs, change overs or extended downtime.
• Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preforms Scheduled Maintenance:

Machine Shop Setup and Operation:

• Reads and interprets blueprints to plan setup and operate lathes, milling machine, grinders, saws, and presses. Plans setup and operates typical machine tools, producing parts to close tolerances, and company specifications.

Additional Duties:

• Preforms additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical/pneumatic equipment
• Extensive knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mill machines, and machine shop equipment
• Fabrication and blueprinting skills for part creation and machine maintenance
• Ability to read and write in English, with strong communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work conditions require contact with sharp tools, rotating equipment, oil, and various lubricants. Will involve climbing, crawling, and kneeling in and around machines to preform preventative or production maintenance repair. Must be able to use hand tools and trade type tools. High mental and visual effort required. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds at a time or more. Job involves standing for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work overnight and possibly some overtime, when needed.
