Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC (SGI) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic at their Charmian Plant in Blue Ridge Summit, PA. All tools and required company PPE is provided. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic works within the Maintenance Department, partners

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Must pass Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test with a minimum score of 70%.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions and elevations.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of craft duties involved in simple construction, maintenance, lubrication, troubleshooting, and repair work on buildings and equipment.
• Assist on all types of construction, maintenance, and repair work as necessary throughout the Plant.
• Use mechanic hand tools, overhead hoist, man lifts, etc. to assist in dismantling and assembling equipment.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned.
• Clean up the area where work is being performed.
• Ensure the plant area meets or exceeds all safety standards and all work is performed safely.
