Job summary

Maintenance Mechanic (Day/Night Shift)

Location: Houston, Texas (Crosby plant)

Employment Type: Full‑Time

Shift: 12‑hour shifts (Wednesday to Saturday nights, 7 pm–7 am; day shift 7 am–7 pm; some split shifts).

Minimum Experience: Mid‑level.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs and equipment upgrades.
• Record and document time, work order completion, and parts usage in the CMMS system.
• Create work orders and help plan jobs and projects.
• Apply skills in electrical troubleshooting, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, fabrication, and related areas as required.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance team members, production supervisors, and management.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety legislation, the company’s Joint Health & Safety Programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with industrial equipment, automation, hydraulics, and electricity.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, troubleshooting, and multi‑tasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
